Retro Classic Tournament Schedule Revealed

The Retro Classic Tournament schedule has been revealed, and most tournament prize packages have been announced too! If you want to take on others in some good old games at the Midwest Gaming Classic, this year’s Retro Classic Series should be right up your alley!  With six different competitions announced, three on each day of the show, you can really prove to others exactly how good you are! Saturday, the Midwest Gaming Classic will host the Fire Mario Speed Run, a StarFox Competition Cart Competition and a Raiden Raiders tournament.  These tournaments will use NES, SNES and Playstation games to allow players to face off against one another in epic battles to score more points or move faster than the competition. Sunday, the Midwest Gaming Classic will once again host the spectacular Midwest Tetris Championship, an event where the best puzzle gamers will get to show off their block-matching skills!  Qualification for this tournament will even open Sunday night as the show closes, so if you want to put up scores the night before the competition, you will have that option! Also Sunday, the show will host a Franitc Frogger Competition and two divisions of Team Space Invaders play.  Both of these tournaments, hosted on Atari 2600 consoles, pit people in unique situations — Frogger with a time limit, and Space Invaders playing with a friend or family member in one of the two divisions! It’s more fun to compete, and with all these competitions the 2010 Midwest Gaming Classic is a perfect place if you want to show off your Retro Classic skills!  For more details, including currently announced prizes, rule listings and exact competition times, please visit the Tournaments page in the At the Show section of the Midwest Gaming Classic web site.
