The Midwest Gaming Classic is known for having some of the most highly competitive tournaments, and this year a ton of sponsors have stepped up to make the tournaments even more lucrative for the winners.  Here is a list of sponsors, the tournaments they are sponsoring and the extra goodies competitors will get because of it! GameWorks Schaumburg – GameWorks Schaumburg is sponsoring the Midwest Pinball Championship for the second year in a row!  If you compete in A or B division, you will get a one-hour play card for the incredible arcade — including great pinball line up — at the Schaumburg, Illinois GameWorks! Panini America, Inc – The company behind the best trading card sets has a really cool new product – Andrenalyn XL gets you in the game by allowing you to track the cards you own online and play a very cool game of basketball against others from around the world!  Enter the NBA Fastbreak Tournament, and you’ll get a free pack of Andrenalyn XL trading cards, win and you’ll get a bunch more! J2Games.Com – This online game vendor is your source for just about any type of game you want!  J2Games is sponsoring the Tetris tournament this year, and awarding the winner with a great FC II Mobile portable NES system! goatstore.com – The long time Midwest Gaming Classic supporter has published five Dreamcast games, with the most recent being Irides: Master of Blocks.  Play in either of the Irides: Master of Blocks tournaments at the show, and you’ll be competing to win a copy of the special, very limited edition version of Irides: Master of Blocks LE courtesy of the GOAT Store, LLC! Hyperkin – If you want an awesome update for your favorite classic video games, Hyperkin is the company you want to be buying your systems from!  Hyperkin is donating one of their FC Mobile II systems for the main prize in the Fire Super Mario Speed Run challenge! Pepsi AMP Energy Drink – Need energy?  Get AMPed up!  Pepsi AMP Energy Drink will be providing prizes (and energy!) for a variety of tournaments throughout the weekend! 102.9 the Hog – Like rock? Chiquita Bananas – What good would a Super Monkey Ball Tournament be without bananas?  Luckily, we’ll never know as Chiquita Bananas is providing the Midwest Gaming Classic with a year supply of bananas to give the winner of the Super Monkey Ball Tournament! FM 102/1 – This great local rock station plays tunes from all of the great bands that you want to hear, and is helping to coordinate the Super Monkey Ball Step & Roll Tournament! NBA Fastbreak Head-to-Head Tourney Announced

The Bally title NBA Fastbreak was notable for having a link feature, but it is rare that you ever found them linked to play…  but at this year’s show, you’ll be able to compete against someone else to find out who is better! Bally’s NBA Fastbreak game introduced a new concept — using a couple parts, you could connect two games together, and players could face off head-to-head style in a unique, timed event.  Unfortunately, finding a location that had two NBA Fastbreak pinball machines was tough to do, and finding a location that actually had those two games linked was nearly impossible. At this year’s Midwest Gaming Classic, there will be two linked NBA Fastbreak machines for a tournament!  Qualify throughout the day by playing the game in the normal fashion that the game was played in, and at the end of the day the top players will face off against eachother in head-to-head pinball to see who the best player is! If you think that you can play this unique Bally game in both of it’s styles and be the best, you won’t want to miss this unique tournament!
